Baby Must Haves: Dockatot Deluxe
Having my daughters seven years apart has made me feel like a new mom. So many things have changed with technology, medical requirements and baby products. When I had my first daughter Amirah I simply had a bassinet and a crib. I also had a ton of gifts from the baby shower that I never used and gave away because it was just too much stuff. This time around we promised ourselves we wouldn't make a baby registry, instead we would do a baby shower and have everyone bring gift cards. This way we were able to purchase the things we needed and save the rest for diapers ( I highly suggest doing this). Another reason we didn't want to have a bunch of unnecessary stuff is because we moved from our 3 story house in Ohio to a 2 bedroom apartment in California. Living a more minimalistic lifestyle has saved us money, and given us more freedom.
With our new baby I knew I didn't want to get a crib this time around because it would take up too much space. I also never used my first daughters crib. So I wanted to get a bassinet and something I could put on our bed and couch. I was introduced to Dockatot by my friend Rachel @Xo.rachelpitzel who knows all things baby products. It is a lounging, playing, resting dock that mimics the mothers womb. When I tell you my daughter loves it, I mean she instantly gets quiet and relaxed as soon as we lay her in it. I actually had to replace the mattress that came with the bassinet with the Dockatot in order for my daughter to sleep in it. It's great for travel ( it comes in a plastic bag to keep safe and clean) and also just moving from room to room. If you put anything on your baby registry this should definitely be in your top ten.
I am one of those people who doesn't like a lot of clutter, I tend to get rid of anything extra laying around the house. I will wait for something I really want verses just having something to take its place. I realized after my first child that babies don't really need a bunch of toys and extra stuff they will never use. You just need reliable products that will help make your newborn experience much easier. The Dockatot is going to allow you to go hands free and actually get a few things done without having to hold or wear your new baby at all times.
I would have to say that this product is Chea Family approved! Stay tuned for more product reviews, know if I have it, then it must be a necessity.
Blessings
