Following Your Dreams
There is a lot to celebrate this July 4th weekend. Independence Day is an obvious reason, but I am celebrating a close friend's accomplishment. He is one of my groomsman and a talented creative. He has led the creative direction of brands such as Converse, Timberland, The Greater Than Club and even his latest creation SlaveForYourself. Yesterday, he left Converse and a world where he has seen incredible success. Sirah wrote about how success is relative and being "good" at something doesn't qualify you as being successful, especially if it is not your passion and calling. Even though working for others isn't his passion, he's been successful in contributing his creative to the advancement of many companies. I am ecstatic about his new journey for himself and his family.
Justice and I talk frequently about life and most times it's slightly off the traditional path. From living on a farm to provide organic, healthy food for our families, then opening a restaurant from the excess foods. Or me taking a job in Hawaii, so that he can convince his family to move their too (Side Note: Sirah has rebuked this countless times). The stories go on and on. Most recently, we talked about traveling across the country with our families.
I found the perfect vehicle to for our travels. It is the VW California. Sirah loves the vintage ones like the matte black, Beach Boys generation. But the newest generation California is so clean. It sleeps 4 adults, ample storage, cooktop, refrigerator and other luxuries including a pop up tent for headroom. Peep the photos and video below.
